What This Site Does
Alabama law makes many public writings and sheriff prisoner records available for inspection, including records addressed by Ala. Code § 36-12-40 and § 36-22-8. The difficult part is knowing which office has the record. Sheriff Roy Fikes and the Perry County Sheriff's Office operate the local roster for county jail matters, ADOC runs a separate search for sentenced state prisoners, and federal or immigration detainees do not appear in the Perry County jail list. This site organizes those rosters, locator links, phone numbers, facility pages, visitation cautions, and request steps for Perry County, Alabama.
What You Can Find
The pages focus on practical record access rather than speculation about a person's case.
- Help using jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
- Separate facility pages for the James Hood Detention Facility in Marion and the Perry County PREP Center in Uniontown.
- Plain-language steps for the Perry County iSOMS roster, VINELink, the ADOC inmate search, and federal or ICE locator fallbacks.
- Guidance on asking the proper office for a booking record, mugshot, certified court copy, or expungement-related record under Alabama procedures.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference website. It is not part of the Perry County Sheriff's Office, the James Hood Detention Facility, the Alabama Department of Corrections, the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles, any court, or any government agency.
- We cannot release, hold, transport, or transfer anyone in custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule a visit, send commissary money, or change jail records for you.
- We cannot provide legal advice about charges, warrants, expungement, or court strategy.
- We cannot promise that every address, phone number, roster entry, fee, or office hour remains current.
Only the Perry County Sheriff's Office, the receiving jail if a person has been housed outside Perry County, ADOC, a court clerk, or another originating office can confirm current custody, charges, release, or official record status.
Search Partners
Some pages may include search tools supplied by third-party providers. Those providers control their own prices, account terms, data practices, and result sets. If a visitor follows a partner tool to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee, which helps keep the public reference pages available without charging readers.
Keeping Details Current
Jail operations can change quickly. Perry County's jail has been reported closed for repairs since September 2025, and local reporting says some prisoners were housed in other counties during that period. Rosters may also go offline, visitation rules may shift, and phone vendors or request procedures can change without broad public notice.
